Today, society does not see individuals with disabilities as sexual beings. How can we make people understand that sex and function do not need to be dependent on each other? Freaks in the Sheets - humor, and above all self-distance, is the universal tool that historically has bridged the gap and created understanding between different groups of people. By allowing individuals with disabilities to joke about sex in a relatable and provocative way, they can reclaim ownership of their own sexuality.
