Most cyclist fatalities occur at intersections and are caused by an communicative power imbalance between cyclists and motorists. Where motorists have their horn to communicate with surrounding traffic, cyclists are equipped with only an analog bell that has no way of being heard from inside of the car. That’s why we developed the Connected Bike Bell - a new innovation that is attached to the bike in place of an analog bell. By linking to the Volvo Cars App, cyclists can alert drivers when needed – inside of the car. Effectively equalizing the power dynamic between cyclists and motorists, ensuring road safety for everyone.
